About Blender environment assets

Some are static models and some are procedural tools. A terrain or ivy generator lets you change the result with sliders, while a building kit gives you modular pieces to place by hand. The product page lists the file formats the creator mentions.

Large environments can be heavy. Scattered vegetation, high-resolution textures and detailed buildings use a lot of memory, especially in Cycles. On a modest machine, look for products that mention low-poly versions, LODs or EEVEE support.

Check the licence before you use an environment in commercial work. Some free scenes are released under CC0, which allows any use. Others are for personal use only.

Questions

Can I use these environments in commercial projects?
It depends on the licence, which is on the creator's Gumroad page. Where a description mentions CC0, GPL or royalty-free, it's shown on the product page.
Do they work in EEVEE?
Many do, but previews are often rendered in Cycles. The product page lists the render engines the creator mentions.
What's the difference between a kit and a generator?
A kit is a set of finished models you arrange yourself. A generator builds the geometry procedurally, usually with Geometry Nodes, so you control it with settings.
